About

Innocently enough, my first introduction to photography really began with my first smartphone -  which packed a whopping 5MP! With each new phone, the camera specs and features grew even more important. Eventually, I exhausted the limits of what my smartphone camera had to offer (not that there is anything wrong with smartphone photography!) and so I picked up my parents' DSLR.

I studied Mechanical Engineering in college, and photography quickly became an outlet to escape the grind of classes. I enjoyed walking around campus snapping photos of the beautiful brick and copper roofed buildings. As the seasons began to change, I found it exciting to seek out entirely new compositions of the seemingly same scenes I have photographed dozens of times before. It was around this time my attentiveness to - and utilization of - nature became an integral element of making a nice photo. From here, my passion grew rapidly and expanded past the realm of campus. Ultimately, the focus of my passion fell upon capturing wildlife and landscapes.

Every time I set out with my camera, I try to do three things: go about myself in an ethical and respectful manner, enjoy the time, and make at least one compelling image.
